My husband gave me a Meyer when our first daughter was born 2001. I gave him to her and she never put him down. He was part of the family. He’s been all over the world with us. Last year we went on vacation and she lost him. Either in the hotel or in a restaurant. We retraced our steps and none has him. We all miss him. Thanks for such great bears. They are soft…washable…and very long lasting.
Hi, I first contacted you in January and shared with you that I collect teddy bears, professionally clean them and donate them to our Iredell Memorial Hospital Emergency Department for sick or hurt children who come there for help.
I recently acquired another Mary Meyer teddy bear. They are few and far between. That assures me that when people have a Mary Meyer bear, they hold on to them for a long time. This one was in perfect condition. Since my first delivery of teddy bears on July 22, 2011, I have given 800 teddies to the hospital and others, as well. This unconditional love and giving to others in need of comfort and encouragement is one of the greatest joys of my life and I am 52 years old. My brother in law asked me early on, “how long do you plan to do this?” I replied, “as long as God puts teddy bears in my hands.” You can visit my blog, nansgoodwillbears.blogspot.com to read stories and see photos.
Thank you so much for creating such wonderful teddy bears!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had two 1995 Devon bears by my side. They’re now as matted as can be and I love them more every day. Sugar and Brownie are priceless to me. Thank you, Mary Meyer!
When I was little my mom worked at a candy store, they had the big cream bear. My sister and I fell in love with it and called it phil and we carried it around the store. But now phil is at soemone elses home :/ Well I also wanted to say I love mary meyer! escpecially sweet rascals and I might start collecting them.

Thanks for the very nice comment. We’re glad our toy brought so much companionship to your daughter.

Thanks so much. Devon was designed by Lane Carpenter, a bear artist from Nevada. We are glad the Devons have brought you so much joy!

The Cream bear you loved was very popular. You have great taste in bears. What fun to have Mom work in a candy store! Thanks for sharing.
